a green weekend at st matthew's
There is a Green weekend at St Matthew's in June when we have a programme of Eco Presentations on Saturday 27 June and the afternoon of Sunday 28 June. The objective is to give people the opportunity to come and listen to really good eco initiatives and projects going on around us without being drawn into discussions about net zero, what should be done, what should not be done and whose fault is it. We have a mix of presentations from Local government officers, other professionals and volunteers.
The programme for the two days on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June is divided between building and energy projects on the Saturday and nature and environmental projects on the Sunday.
Subject to unforeseen changes the programme is as follows;
Saturday 27 June -
11.00 am - Dr Robyn Dewis, Derby City Council Director of Public Health: Climate action and well being, domestic decarbonisation.
12.00 noon - Darley Abbey Hydro project: Darley Community Energy.
2.00 pm - Decarbonising Railway Stations.
3.00 pm - Decarbonising Churches: Derby Diocesan Decarbonisation Officer.
Sunday 28 June -
12.00 noon - Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.
1.00 pm - Nutwood Nature Reserve.
